Henry Nguyen, the Managing General Partner of IDG Ventures Vietnam, DiaDiem’s long-time partner and investor, said: "We are proud to support DiaDiem on its continuous innovations to help people navigate Viet Nam’s streets and find locations easier. In order to satisfy such essential information needs, DiaDiem is truly going beyond the internet to outreach mobile and offline users."
The 3D map enables users to understand the size and perspective of buildings and surrounding areas.
DiaDiem adds a main feature that helps find out a user’s current location using a non-GPS phone or GPS phone. This helps locate the point of interest closest to the user or getting directions to another location without entering the current location address.
Map search can find a location or directions by entering an address, point of interest, or a phone number.
A directory search function can search for a company, category or a person by using proprietary server technology to look for millions of records.
Thang said he expected to offer 3D maps of Ha Noi, Hai Phong, Da Nang and Can Tho by the year’s end.
